Pankui
Care guide
A few small habits that keep your Pankui containers performing for years.
Washing
- Hand-wash with warm soapy water for daily cleaning
- Dishwasher-safe on the top rack only — heating elements at the bottom can warp the lid
- For silicone-sealed containers, remove the gasket occasionally to clean grooves
Drying
- Dry the lid groove fully before sealing — trapped moisture is what makes pantry items go stale
- Leave the lid off for 10 minutes after washing
Microwave
- Lid off, always
- Avoid heating oily foods at high power for extended periods
Freezer
- Safe down to -20°C
- Cool contents to room temperature before freezing
- Leave 1 cm headspace — contents expand
Sealing hot food
Let contents cool slightly before sealing. Vacuum-locked lids can be hard to open later — if it happens, run warm water over the lid edge for 30 seconds.
What not to do
- No direct stovetop or open-flame use
- No high-heat oven (above 100°C)
- Avoid scouring pads on the body — they scratch the clarity
